ChatVault Privacy Policy

      The short version: ChatVault stores your saved conversations
      entirely inside your own browser. We do not run a server that receives, stores,
      or sees your conversations. We have no access to your data.
    

What ChatVault does

ChatVault is a Chrome extension that lets you save, search, organize, and export your ChatGPT and Claude conversations. It reads conversations only on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, and claude.ai, and only when you click the Save button.

Where your data is stored

All saved conversations, folders, and tags are stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your computer through ChatVault. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party. Uninstalling the extension removes this data.

Network requests we make

Reading your conversations: When you click Save, the extension requests the conversation from the same ChatGPT or Claude page you are already logged into, using your existing session. This data is stored locally, not sent to us.
License validation: If you purchase ChatVault Pro, your license key is sent to Lemon Squeezy (our payment provider) for validation. We do not send any of your conversation content during this process. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.

What we do not collect

We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising. We do not collect your conversations, browsing history, personal information, or usage statistics.

Permissions

Host access to api.lemonsqueezy.com — to validate Pro license keys.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the extension's store listing.
